BYOD - a balance between equity and educational progress
For anyone doing some work around the topic of BYOB, the resources below offer much and there is some Canadian context via the Alberta government guide.
1. Bring Your Own Device Toolkit
This is the best overall resource I have seen on BYOD (Thanks to Marieke Holtkamp for finding this), this is a Canadian site that has an amazing line-up of downloadable PDFs that cover many if not all, aspects of this policy. This is where I would start and I'm not sure I would have to get to any of the other resources I have provided.
2. Microsoft Bring Your Own Device in Schools whitepaper
A very well considered work that offers five models for implementing BYOD.
3. Bring your own device: A guide for schools - Alberta government
A massive document with much information from a Canadian perspective. Access and infrastructure are considered as well.
4. The Digital Divide: Resource Roundup by Edutopia
A number of current articles that address digital access and equity from different perspectives.
5. NEN - The Education Network Technical Strategy Guidance Note 5: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) April 2013
A very current resource (short - 4 pages) that gives an overview of BYOD and its benefits for schools, issues and risks, and implementing policies and procedures. A nice overview of the present landscape.

5. Overall, a fabulous, long-range look at where Norwegian schools are going (best educational system in the world) and gives programs and goals in 1 year, 3 year and 5 year windows. Page 5 highlights BYOD but the report also speaks on games/gamification and mobile learning.
